Chula Vista Police Issues Tickets to Brighten the Holidays

On December 17, 2019, Chula Vista Police Foundation proudly partnered with Chula Vista Police Department and Walmart to help make the holidays special by providing meals and toys to 455 families, serving over 2100 local residents.  Participating families were invited and provided with a ticket/voucher for a holiday meal.

Santa Claus arrived in his sleigh at 7am to greet children and hand out toys and bicycles. In addition, those in attendance met players from the new arena football team, San Diego Strike Force and professional MMA athletes from Alliance Gym.

Chula Vista Police Chief Roxana Kennedy emphasized that these types of events showcase the amazing men and women of the Chula Vista Police Department who go above and beyond daily to make a positive difference in our community by embracing the true meaning of the holidays.  The Holiday Meal Giveaway and other similar CVPD sponsored events show a small act of kindness by police officers, which can go a long way in making a difference in a person’s life.
